There is nothing at all like bringing a new puppy into the home; yet so many people have absolutely no idea what they are getting themselves into. At the time of the puppy’s arrival; children will find themselves anxiously awaiting so that they can touch and love on the puppy.

Getting a new puppy is a lot more than just having someone to love your or get all excited when you come home. In fact before you even consider bringing home a new puppy; you want to ensure that you are really ready to take on the responsibility of raising one. Your puppy will only be a puppy for a small portion of his/her life; eventually they will become a full grown dog.

Your pup has a lot of energy and when you attempt to get them to do something; they may tend to believe that you are playing with them. Remember they tend to have a lot of energy.

Praise: Everyone loves to be told they have done something worthwhile; your pup is no different. Be sure to give praise whenever they deserve it. However do not forget to know when they have done something that you disagree with. They want to please you; so they will pick up quickly and learn what you want from them.
